Burnley (20th in the Premier League) take on West Ham (9th in the Premier League) on Saturday 21st of October, at Turf Moor, at 15:00 PM (GMT).

The last time these two sides faced, they drew 1-1 at the London Stadium, in 2022. Goals coming from Tomas Soucek for the Hammers, and Wout Weghorst for Burnley.

Arsenal’s Oleksandr Zinchenko has just scored a stunning acrobatic goal to make it 3-1 against Burnley.

Leandro Trossard whips the corner into the box but it is O’Shea who meets it with his header smacking off the crossbar.

The ball bounces back in front of the Ukrainian defender, who comes up with an stunning improvised karate kick style finish, to volley it straight into the top corner past the static Trafford.

Video: William Saliba restores Arsenal’s lead immediately after Burnley drew level

Arsenal have restored their lead almost immediately with William Saliba scoring a header from a Trossard corner.

Trossard gave Arsenal the lead right before half-time but Burnley equalised ten minutes into the second half through Josh Brownhill.

But Arsenal responded back immediately with a goal just three minutes later. Trossard whips in a great ball in from the corner on to the goal-line.

Video: Leandro Trossard crashes into the post injuring himself as he scores the opener for Arsenal

Leandro Trossard has given Arsenal the lead right before half-time against Burnley but appears to have hurt his shoulders in doing so.

Zinchenko put in a great cross from the left which Bukayo Saka cushioned on towards the far post where the Belgian bravely threw himself onto the end of it.

He heads the ball in but crashes into the post in doing so hurting his shoulders.

It looked bad initially but after treatment from the medical team he has been able to get up and appears to be okay.

Arsenal could be without three players for Burnley game

Arsenal are awaiting news on the injury front with three potential players unavailable as they prepare to face Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Arsenal injury news

In their recent UEFA Champions League match against Sevilla, Arsenal secured a 2-0 victory with goals from Leandro Trossard and Bukayo Saka. However, Saka picked up a knock and had to be substituted in the second half, casting doubt on his availability for Saturday’s game, as Gunners’ manager Mikel Arteta confirmed in his press conference that he didn’t train on Thursday.

Defender Takehrio Tomiyasu was also withdrawn during the Sevilla match, coming off at half-time due to a minor fitness concern.

Additionally, striker Eddie Nketiah missed the midweek game due to an ankle injury sustained against Newcastle United last weekend, leading to Leandro Trossard taking his place. Arsenal supporters may now be worried by the potential unavailability of all three players for the upcoming Saturday fixture.

Burnley injury news

For Burnley, Hjalmar Ekdal recently returned from a knee injury and featured in an Under-21s game against Sheffield United last week. He wasn’t the only player making a comeback; winger Manuel Benson also saw his first minutes on the pitch since the end of September.

Aaron Ramsey is expected to continue being sidelined, while Michael Obafemi is still working on his recovery from a long-term hamstring injury.

Arsenal injury update as Saka & Tomiyasu to be assessed while duo push to return vs Burnley

Arsenal have had a difficult season with injuries, and there were two new concerns for Mikel Arteta to contend with after the win over Sevilla in the Champions League last night.

The Gunners won 2-0 against Sevilla thanks to goals from Leandro Trossard and Bukayo Saka, but there was a worry later in the game as Saka hobbled off.

According to the Evening Standard, the England international is now set to be assessed by Arsenal, as well as Takehiro Tomiyasu, another player who went off against Sevilla.

On top of that, Arsenal were also without Martin Odegaard and Eddie Nketiah in their game yesterday, and the Standard suggests both players are pushing to return to action this weekend when the Gunners take on Burnley.

Leicester keeping tabs on goal-machine as Iheanacho replacement

Despite a home defeat against Leeds United at the weekend, Enzo Maresca’s Leicester City side are still flying high at the top of the Championship table.

Though they have Ipswich Town just three points behind them, the gap between the Foxes and Daniel Farke’s Leeds in third is a cavernous 11 points.

It would take a monumental drop off in form and results for Leicester to be caught, however, with so much of the season to go, any loss of confidence could absolutely be capitalised on.

One way to keep things fresh and players on their toes is to bring in others, and that could be something that Maresca is considering for the January transfer window.

According to TeamTalk, Leicester are one of a handful of clubs – which includes Premier League outfits Burnley and Crystal Palace – to be keeping tabs on Villarreal hit-man, Ben Brereton Diaz.

It’s reported that the former Blackburn star hasn’t really settled at the Yellow Submarine since a summer switch, and the La Liga club would be willing to loan him in the new year in order that he’s able to pick up some significant game time.

With Leicester believed to want a replacement for Kelechi Iheanacho, a move for Brereton Diaz would appear to make perfect sense.

From the player’s perspective, helping to drive Leicester’s promotion charge would be an obvious attraction.
