Crystal Palace winger Malcolm Ebiowei is reportedly set to be allowed to leave the club in the January transfer window.

The Eagles have not managed to find room for the 19-year-old in their first-team in recent times, and it looks like they will allow him to move on.

A loan move currently looks the most likely for Ebiowei as manager Patrick Vieira looks for him to gain experience of more regular playing time.

Manchester United wanted to sign Derby County striker Malcolm Ebiowei but missed out to Crystal Palace.

Following an impressive breakthrough, the talented young forward had emerged as one of the EFL’s brightest attacking prospects. Despite being wanted this summer by both United and Palace, the race to sign the 18-year-old was over quite quickly with the teenager choosing Patrick Vieira’s Eagles over Erik ten Hag’s Red Devils.

Shockingly, according to a recent report from The Sun, the teenager brutally rejected United and even ignored multiple calls and text messages directly from both ten Hag and assistant boss Steve McClaren.

Manchester United have reportedly missed out on Derby Counter youngster Malcolm Ebiowei, with a fellow Premier League club set to secure his signature.

Due to Derby County’s financial difficulties and after being relegated from the Championship last season, some of their star players will be looking for moves this summer.

One of those who appears to be heading out the door is Ebiowei, and according to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United have failed in an attempt to sign him, with Crystal Palace winning the race, as seen in the tweet below.

Ebiowei has represented both England and Netherlands at youth level and is a highly-rated youngster who break into the Derby first team last season. At just 18 years old, Ebiowei played 15 league games for Derby in the Championship, and he will now ply his trade in the Premier League.

The young star may struggle initially to break into the first team at Palace, so a loan move would probably suit his development.

He’s already proven he can play in the English second tier, so a temporary deal with a Championship club could be smart business once Palace complete the deal to sign him.

Manchester United have joined Tottenham in the race to sign Derby County winger Malcolm Ebiowei.

Ebiowei only signed a short-term deal at relegated Derby, and is set to leave the club this summer due to his contract expiring. The talented youngster impressed during Derby’s unsuccessful battle to stay in the league, and his performances have turned the heads of Premier League clubs.

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United, Tottenham, Newcastle, and Crystal Palace are all interested in the 18-year-old.

The Derby winger started his career off at Derby in the youth side, where he scored seven goals in as many games. Ebiowei was swiftly promoted to the first team, where he was a key figure in Wayne Rooney’s side towards the end of the season.

None of the aforementioned sides are likely to be offering Ebiowei regular Premier League minutes due to his inexperience, and a loan move back to Derby could be an option.

The youngster will be comfortable at the club, knowing all the staff and players. Young loan players can often take time to settle into a new environment, so a temporary move back to Derby could be a smart idea.
