In a comical moment on the pitch, Milwall’s Duncan Watmore experienced a moment of forgetfulness as he was being substituted off during a match.

The incident was caught on camera, showing Watmore leaving the pitch after the substitution before mistakenly heading towards the opposition’s bench, thinking he still played for Middlesbrough.

Realizing his error, Watmore quickly changed direction, heading towards his own team’s bench, while shaking his head in embarrassment. His teammates couldn’t help but burst out laughing at the amusing mistake

Manchester United have been knocked out of the FA Cup after a penalty shootout defeat to Middlesbrough.

Jadon Sancho’s opener was cancelled out by a controversial Middlesbrough goal, which saw the ball hit Duncan Watmore’s hand before he played the ball towards Matt Crooks who tapped in the ball at the far post for the equaliser.

United were knocked out after Anthony Elanga missed the vital spot kick at the eighth time of asking to allow Middlesbrough to win the shootout 7-8 and provide one of the upsets of the tournament so far.

The have now lost seven of their last eight shootouts, an extremely unwanted record considering United demand being able to compete in cup competitions and the frequency such events can occur.

Manchester United have become the latest victim of the old proverb of not taking chances coming back to bite you, after conceding to Middlesbrough.

United won out over Aston Villa in the last round of the FA Cup after a controversial decision. But this time they have been on the receiving end of such a decision, after a handball in the build-up to the equaliser was deemed to not have been deliberate.

After being played in behind Duncan Watmore failed to cleanly control the ball, and his loose touch subsequently bounced up and on to his arm, before he was able to lift a shot over Dean Henderson for Matt Crooks to tap in at the far post.

There were some awful scenes on show at Wycombe vs Sunderland on Saturday, as a mass brawl between the two sides kicked off on the touchline, something that ended with three players being sent off.

As the game crept into added time, the ball was kicked off for a Sunderland throwing near the half way line, with the game then soon descending into chaos as a brawl ensued between the two sides.

Sunderland’s George Honeyman and Wycombe’s Nathan Tyson were both sent off following the brawl, with Marcus Bean then seeing red just after the game had got underway again for a challenge on Duncan Watmore, according to the Sun.

Not the sort of thing you’d want to see at 5pm on a Saturday, that’s for sure!
