Swansea City are working on a deal to sign Tottenham midfielder Harvey White but the Premier League club are unsure what to do with the youngster. 

The 20-year-old is currently involved in pre-season for Tottenham but the London club is yet to make a decision on what to do with the youngster ahead of the upcoming new season.

White played the final 15 minutes in Spurs’ 6-3 win over a K League XI in South Korea last Wednesday but the uncertainty over his future is attracting interest from several EFL clubs.

Swansea City are one club that have registered their interest in a deal, whilst other EFL clubs are also monitoring White’s situation reports Football Insider.

The midfielder is highly regarded at Spurs and was a regular in Antonio Conte’s first-team squad during the second half of last season. The 20-year-old signed a new deal in December 2020 and is contracted to Spurs until the end of the 2023-24 campaign, so the London club could get a nice fee for the young star.

White came through the Tottenham youth set-up and made his Spurs debut in a 4-0 win over Ludogrets in the Europa League in November 2020. He spent the second half of the 2020-21 campaign on loan at Portsmouth and it is this time that the player will be judged off the most. The youngster could now be about to start a new chapter in his career in Wales unless Conte decides he wants the 20-year-old around a bit longer.

With 10 minutes left to play in their Europa League tie against Ludogorets and Tottenham already 4-0 up, Jose Mourinho showed why he’s so revered as a man manager.

A triple substitution wouldn’t normally have been anything to write home about, but on this occasion the Portuguese was giving top billing to three debutants.

Joe Hart was all smiles despite coming off, replaced by Spurs fan Alfie Whiteman, whilst Dele Alli and Lucas Moura made way for Harvey White and 16-year-old Dane Scarlett respectively.

What a nice touch from the Special One.

Tottenham U19s were in fine form on Tuesday as they secured a 9-2 win over Red Star Belgrade U19s in a clinical performance.

A flurry of goals came late on as the visitors seemingly collapsed and lost belief, but ultimately the Spurs youngsters deserve plenty of praise too for the display they produced.

There was quality in almost every goal as Troy Parrott helped himself to four goals, but the pick of the bunch came from Harvey White.

The versatile midfield ace has already bagged two goals in five appearances in Premier League 2 so far this season, and he took that goalscoring touch with him into Europe in midweek.

As seen in the video below, the youngster scored with a superbly flighted free-kick over the wall and into the back of the net, and it was certainly one of the more impressive efforts on the day for the hosts as they rattled off a comprehensive victory.

That will be much to the delight of all concerned at the club, but the focus will soon switch to the senior Tottenham squad as they look to follow that up with a win of their own on Tuesday night.
